My goal as a therapist is to cultivate a safe space for clients to explore their inner experiences with curiosity and lack of judgment. I work through a trauma informed lens, understanding the complex ways in which our lived experiences, as well as societal and systemic factors, shape our feelings, behaviors, self-concept, and the way we relate to others. As a biracial therapist (white/Filipina) who holds white privilege, I enjoy helping clients explore their racial identity and/or engage in ongoing anti-racism work. I also have experience working with clients who come to therapy to address harm and healing from race-based trauma.
I specialize in treating complex trauma, PTSD, generalized anxiety, panic, phobias, social anxiety, major depression, interpersonal and assertiveness issues, and emotion regulation problems. I use an integrative approach, utilizing both active strategies and exploration of current and past experiences that shape behavior.
The best predictor of treatment outcome is based on the relationship you have with your therapist. I aim to be transparent about my style and will tailor care to fit your needs; however, if I am not the right fit for you, I will help you identify what it is you're seeking so that you may be more informed in your search for care.
